Varshini Penugonda is an urban designer – architect. She has completed Masters in Urban design and Bachelors in Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi . Her thesis was based on ‘design of urban environment for holistic education and creating better employment opportunities’. Prior to that she has worked as an intern with APCRDA (Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority) for street design guidelines, detailed master plan.

Her interests lie in areas of local area planning, poverty alleviation and affordable housing, urban growth and infrastructure, street design guidelines and model road/ corridor design, urban water bodies/ lakes restoration and rejuvenation. She is skilled in research, design and presentation.

At NIUM, She is working as a Research Associate and is involved in local area planning, urban rejuvenation and data visualization.
